Are the courses at Lokaal Nederlands right for me?
The lessons at Lokaal Nederlands are intended for moderately and highly educated people. Do you have study experience and are you able to work on your own and do homework? Do you want to learn Dutch relatively fast? Are you able to use programs like Skype and Word? Then the courses of Lokaal Nederlands are completely right for you!

Which courses does Lokaal Nederlands offer?
Lokaal Nederlands offers courses for foreign people who want to learn Dutch. We offer group lessons and private lessons from A0 to C1.

Are the courses of Lokaal Nederlands online or face-to-face?
All group lessons and private lessons are temporarily online. Are you interested in face-to-face lessons around Almere? Please contact us to discuss what is possible.
 

How can I be sure about my level?
We are happy to give you advice! We developed a tool to help you find the right level. Register for this free diagnostic test and we will tell you which course fits the best.


Do I need to speak English?
No, you do not need to speak English. If you start at A0 it is helpful to have some basic knowledge of English to communicate with the teacher. Students who speak Hungarian are also at the right place, because the teacher speaks Hungarian too.

When do the lessons take place?
The group lessons usually take place in the evening. The dates are announced on the website and on the Facebook page of Lokaal Nederlands. Private lessons can be held during the day or in the evening.

What does ERK/CEF mean?
CEF is the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (in Dutch: ERK). There are six reference levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2) and five language skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking/conversations). The teaching methods we use at Lokaal Nederlands are all based on the CEF.

Does Lokaal Nederlands offer integration courses?
The courses at Lokaal Nederlands focus on learning the Dutch language. We can help you to reach the required level for the Integration Examination for immigrants. We also teach about the Dutch culture and society, but we do not offer specific integration courses (yet).
 

Can Lokaal Nederlands help me to prepare for the Staatsexamen NT2 (State Examination Dutch as second language NT2)?

Yes, that is possible. For the Staatsexamen NT2 program I level B1 is required. For program II level B2 is required. We offer courses on these levels. However, during the group lessons we do not practice exam training for the Staatsexamen, because these are general lessons.

Does Lokaal Nederlands accept a DUO loan?
No, Lokaal Nederlands does not accept a DUO loan.
